New Wolf Cinema LED Projection System – Model SDC-18

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of our latest “lamp-less” 2D/3D LED home theater projection solution – the model SDC-18.

Sharing many of the attributes of our premiere LED model SDC-25, the new SDC-18 boasts a next-gen DLP® engine from Texas Instruments, mated with high-output R-G-B emitters for extremely accurate colorimetry and ultra-wide gamut renditions.  Like the SDC-25, peak white performance is rated at 1000 ANSI [which can fill large home theater screens up to 12’ wide], while the exceptional black level performance at greater than 500,000:1 native CR brings forth tremendous image detail and depth of field.  This more affordable LED light engine is delivered with our ProScaler MK III video processor, featuring advanced multi-point CMS calibration capabilities, comprehensive noise reduction algorithms, edge enhancement/detail processing and much more.  The SDC-18 short throw optics will facilitate closer placement to the theater screen [1.25-1.55:1 TD factor], plus the system incorporates our exciting E-VariScope™ technology for viewing on constant height CinemaScope® 2.35/2.40:1 screens, without an anamorphic lens [yet the system remains fully compatible with external anamorphic lenses, as may be desired].

As you review the comparative chart between the SDC-18 and SDC-25, you’ll note some key differences:

·         a more advanced, comprehensive ProScaler is provided with the model 25;

·         longer throw optics are included with the 25, facilitating a much wider installation range;

·         3D emitter and four sets of 3D glasses are included with the 25 [available as accessory options for the SDC-18].

But the more attractive cost on the SDC-18 will no doubt land us in many new client homes – where performance, value and low long-term operating costs are the key attributes.
