AUDIOCONTROL SHOWS MULTI-ZONE AUDIO AND HOME THEATRE SOLUTIONS AT ISE 2018

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, AudioControl presented its Director D-Series multi-zone amplifiers at ISE 2018, together with its Director M-Series 4840 shallow-depth multi-zone amplifier and the Maestro M5 home theatre surround processor. Its stand was very busy through out the show, with international dealers and installers showing great interest.

AudioControl Director models D4600 16-channel and D2800 8-channel high-powered amplifiers have been designed for whole-house entertainment. Both D-Series amplifiers deliver superb sound quality and fine-tuning capability.

AudioControl D-Series amplifiers leverage technology from the company’s award-winning Director M-Series amplifier line-up, delivering the benefits of DSP and onboard digital profiles of the most popular architectural loudspeakers created in conjunction with engineers from each brand. Both D-Series models produce 100 watts/8-Ohms, 200 watts/4-Ohms per channel for the highest quality entertainment programming to any zone.

Integrators can tailor the sound based on DSP profiles of leading speaker brands as part of AudioControl’s Sound Partners Program (SPP), and then fine-tune these DSP profiles by individual zones based on acoustic environment.

AudioControl D-Series amplifiers enable integrators to deliver 8-channels of premium performance from a 1U chassis (D2800) or 16-channels from a 2U chassis (D4600) to accommodate nearly any system configuration.

AudioControl’s powerful DSP engine includes graphic and parametric equalization by zone, network monitoring/programming. Channels are bridgeable, giving integrators configuration flexibility for system setup.

AudioControl’s Director M4840 amplifier is ideal for installations where space is at a premium and has earned a great recognition with the TNT award 2018. The unit has 11.5-inches deep, over 30% shallower than traditional rack-mounted amplifiers.

The M4840 delivers 100 watts/8-Ohms, 200 watts/4-Ohms per channel into an 8×10 stereo matrix. Here also integrators can tailor the sound based on DSP profiles as part of AudioControl’s SPP.

The M4840 can be used as a standalone matrix-amplifier or as part of a complete smart home environment with drivers available for popular 3rd party control systems including Crestron, Savant, RTI or Control 4. Most critically, AudioControl has provided integrators with the flexibility to deliver 8-channels of premium performance from a 1U (M4800) or a 2U shallow (M4840) chassis to accommodate nearly any system configuration. Two 2U 16-channel amplifiers (M6400, M6800) round out the Director M Series line up.

Very sleek in design and function was AudioControl Maestro M5 surround preamp/processor, for home theatre projects. The M5 offers Dolby Atmos and DTS-X immersive audio surround formats and Dirac Live room correction along with dual balanced XLR inputs and balanced XLR outputs for all channels. There are inputs for seven HDMI sources plus dual HDMI outputs (ARC compatible) as well as UHD 4K video pass-through and up scaling capability that includes support for HDR.

In addition to the balanced XLR outputs that include the height channels for immersive formats, the M5 features unbalanced RCA outputs on all channels as well. Each input can be named and re-named to match the source unit as desired by the user, and there is a USB input on the rear panel for connecting an external source and/or for facilitating firmware updates. The M5 can also be paired with AudioControl’s line up of 7 and 5-channel Savoy G3 and Pantages G3 theatre amplifiers.

The M5 comes equipped with an intuitive programmable remote control and has Ethernet plus RS232 jacks and software drivers available for compatibility with popular smart home platforms. The Maestro M5 is available in an elegant Espresso Black finish and comes with AudioControl’s outstanding 5-year warranty backed by 40 years of class-leading customer service.
